CLEAN OUT CONTACTS

It’s time trim your contacts list. Your contacts don’t need to be everyone you’ve been in contact with. They should be people you are in contact with. Less is more.

PHONE-FREE WEEKEND

Here’s the cold turkey element of this 30 day digital detox challenge. Spend an entire weekend without your phone. Pop it in a drawer until Monday morning.

EAT DINNER WITHOUT PHONE

Better still, eat dinner with your family or partner and have a conversation. Checking your phone when you are eating together is really rather rude folks!

TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications make you want to pick up your phone to check what has appeared. Take back control of your phone and turn notifications off.

MAKE BEDROOM NO TECH

Keep it tech free to help you slip into sleep that much more easily. No phones, no laptops and definitely no TV. All they do is encourage you to stay awake!

MEDITATE FOR 20 MINS

Meditation is about decluttering your mind & being present right now. You can’t completely turn thoughts off but you can recognise them & push them away.

DON’T UPDATE YOUR STATUS

It’s okay not to update your status, it means you are too busy living life to think about your online status. Your friends won’t stress if you don’t update your status today.

DELETE UNUSED APPS

Today is all about getting rid of the excess baggage on your screen. If you don’t use an app, get rid. It’s taking up space it doesn’t need.

Thursday

Write a letter, love note or postcard to a friend or loved one

Friday

Go out in the evening and be social – leave your phone at home

Saturday

Don’t look or post anything on social media

Sunday

Switch your phone off for the entire day
